I can't decide which gives a worse headache - setting or solving one of these :)
But setting must be easier as I am yet to solve a 3x3 :)

CAT {fish, nap, sup}
SPACE {bar, double, station}
WAY {lay, run, side}
to give finally:
WALK {cat, space, way}
I had trouble with the third set. Possibly DOWN {lay, run, side} and then final answer SUIT {cat, space, down} was working as well, I guess.
It was fun toying with SALAD {bar, side, station} and DRESSING {salad, down, CAT???} too - but that route was dead, since CAT seemed correct.
You have posted the answer almost before I finished my sigh of relief after making up that game :)
