Game 14 (3 x 2) - Solved

Or, I suppose I could have gotten desperate and made 'rain break' a word with the following!

How to play the WORD ASSOCIATION game
*********************************************

1. Three clue words are given at the beginning of each round

2. You are required to find a word which is related to all three clues

3. The answer has to be a word such that it makes sense in association with each of the clue words, when added either before or after each of them

Example -

Clues:
LEAF / OUT / GO

Answer= LET
leaflet / outlet / let go

4. The answer has to be a whole word which can stand alone (not part of a word).

5. If no one is able to get the right answer, additional clues can be given, as the game progresses

6. The winner of each round gets to give the next set of clues (or may pass on the chance to another player).

7. The 'COMMENTS' link below each set of clues can be used for guess work and giving the answer.

8. Clues for each new round can be given in a new " POST ", with the Game's number as the 'Subject' of the Post.

Variations
--------------
3x2 :
Six clue words - for two games - are given and the clues of both the games are jumbled up.
You are required to sort the words into two sets of 3 words each and find the answer to both the sets.

3x2+1 :
Seven words - 2 sets of three words each and one extra word - are given.
You have to sort them and find the two answers for the 2 sets of words.
These two answers would also make an association with the REMAINING word.
Example:

Clues:
ball / bread / class / elbow / joke / news / show
Answers:
ROOM (ball / elbow / show)
STALE (bread / joke / news)
Extra word - Class
Final answer -
Mate (Room mate / Stalemate / Classmate)
Note: The 7 words are usually given in alphabetical order, not arranged conveniently.

3x3 :
Nine words are given and you have to sort them into three sets of three words each and find three answers.
Additionally you need to find a word which will form associations with the three answers.
